Nonparametric methods and applications

Organizer: Xiangrong Yin, Ph.D., University of Georgia, USA (xryin@stat.uga.edu)

Chair:Li-Ping Zhu, East China Normal University (zhulp1@yahoo.com.cn)

Description:This session consists of four talks on development of current nonparametric methods in different statistical areas. Two papers present nonparametric methods in dimension reduction for high-dimensional data analysis, while the other two discuss nonparametric testing methods for varying coefficient random effects mixed models, and multivariate ibservations in one-way layout including high-dimensional data, respectively. All of the research demonstrates the corresponding methods with interesting data sets.

Speakers:

  1. Score Type Tests for Variance Components in Varying Coefficient Mixed Models.
  2. Lixing Zhu, Hong Kong Baptist University, lzhu@hkbu.edu.hk
